So i stripped the cabinet and might use it as a bottom for the ac. But remember vox and marshall and one other are all korg products now so. If the boards in the marshalls are similar to the vox then they cant take much high freq. I dont know i guess you have to go with what you like.

Since I got it, it’s been the main guitar on all the songs; it’s a dream for that, since I’m always trying to copy someone else’s tone. With a little research, I can approximate the original song’s guitar and amp with the Variax 500 and the POD HD 500. And yes, it offers an utterly clean digital signal this way, with no hum at all. The Variax also works through a standard 1/4″ jack to go direct into any amp, but you need to use a powered stombox or six AA batteries to do that.

Based on* 1959 Martin® D-28 The D-28 is generally considered the definitive Martin flat-top. The Dreadnought (or “D”) body combined with rosewood back and sides produces a full sound ideal for flatpicking. Based on* 1970 Martin® D12-28 In 1970, Martin added six more strings to the successful D-28 to capitalize on the current folk music trends. Based on* 1967 Martin® O-18 The smaller “parlor” sized body with mahogany back and sides has a balanced tone ideal for finger-style playing. Based on* 1966 Guild® F212 Guild’s jumbo-bodied 12-strings offered players the elusive combination of volume and clarity. We’ve modeled the F212 with mahogany back and rims.
Based on* 1995 Gibson® J-200 Easily identified by its impressive size and ornamentation, the J-200 was often played by flashy country and western artists, and was a later favorite of Elvis Presley.
Two guitars (a Gibson Les Paul and a Gibson Johnny A) have the same behavior; all is going along swimimgly, then I switch to the bridge pick up and hit a double stop or a chord hard. Bang- cutout. I'll bet it's digital clipping based in input signal strength and frequency. When I use an AKG SR40 and GB40 system, I have to turn the 'gain' adjustment to it's lowest position to avoid having the red 'overload' light come on too often. Since the Relay G30 has no such attenuator / gain adjustment, there is not way reduce the pickup output other than playing softer or rolling the volume knobs back.
The hendrix pedal caused a quick feedback and blew the preamp section. I replaced the parts but no go something else i couldnt find went too.

Re: Connecting Variax Bass to computer/update firmware? By on 2009-04-04 04: MatsDagerlind wrote: OK thanks. My mistake is thus that I regarded the Variax Bass itself as a self-sufficient hardware (or it's Line6's mistake not to).
It’s a powered jack, and one night at a gig I accidentally plugged a 1/4″ cable into the POD’s Variax jack. It started smoking, so when my Variax cable didn’t work next time I tried it, I figured I’d damaged it. I set about finding a non-Variax owner who would want to buy the xt Live (which still worked fine in all other respects) and saved my pennies for the only currently manufactured POD floor unit that had a Variax jack, which was the HD 500. Then I got the new unit (for $500, oof) and found the Variax didn’t work there either. Oh no — had I really killed the guitar itself somehow? No, dummy, it was a bad cable — just $35 later, I found the original xt Live worked fine, as did the Variax.
Some of the greatest guitarists of all time, including Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn, played almost exclusively 1/2 Down. Drop Db (Db Ab Db Gb Bb Eb) Compared to Drop D, every string is dropped an additional half step.

I know that compared to the number of Relay units working worldwide it's not a common issue numbers wise, but the fact that this audio loss issue is mentioned so often on these forums shouldn't be ignored. The fact that my G50 works fine and the G30 doesn't means that it's not a location/environment issue, or an issue with my setup. There really is something wrong with the G30 unit I have. I'm glad that my G50 turned out to be okay as the Relay units are fantastic IMO. They are so easy to use and the receiver is so easy to incorporate onto a pedal board. Re: Relay G30 drop out problem by on 2011-08-19 18: I dare say that you have a defective unit. Although my G30 was problematic in certain conditions, it never dropped out due to WiFi interference.
The 500 was actually the original model, so I was able to find them used. I liked the look of the 300, but it was made of agathis — not a wood I want to support.
You can even get a body from warmouth that the parts drop into. I m tending to vintage stuff because i play classic rock.i have a gibson lp std+ the strat that i ll buy and i need a marshall and a fender deluxe reverb.then i ll be calm for a few years! I just decided to put it in withall that other stuff mainly thr roland because i can hook up my gr 30 to it and do piano backround or brass right off the guitar atleats thats the plan. I get the srv tones from my strat and the epiphone dot he used a gibson earlier on as well as the no1 strat.

Are you wearing the transmitter on your strap or in your pocket? Re: RE: Relay G30 drop out problem by on 2010-08-07 07: Well, at this point, I'm not sure why I was getting those dropouts. Maybe I'm not using the right term to describe it. While playing, for a fraction of a second it goes dead silent. I thought that would be considered a dropout. But last night we played a 4 hour gig, and the lights stayed solid green on channel 2, and I didn't have a single issue.
